We purchased ghost hunt tickets for Jedburgh Castle and had to purchase accommodation alongside this as it was far from where we lived. We got an email 2 days prior to the event taking place stating that the event had been cancelled to to staff sickness. In their email they gave 3 options, to swap to another event on their website, credit towards HR or a refund. We really wanted to go to this event at some point so looked at swapping days and every single event it’s sold out. So now we can’t even swap to a different ghost hunt if we wanted. We have asked for a refund instead and no reply a week later even after sending messages by email and online platforms. We are out of pocket the accommodation and now the event tickets. Steer clear of Haunted Rooms and use a more reputable group online.

Don’t waste your money with Haunted Rooms, we attended the Guildhall hall in Leicester on 17 Nov 2023, When we booked start time was 8pm then the night before had an email stating starting time now 9pm to Allow for people to arrive ?, It’s a small venue and 38 people had paid to attend , we were split into 4 groups. With the building spilt into 4 areas , the groups rotated around the building l… what can I say our group leader was a lady from Liverpool . Who wasn’t very good at all, she Lacked any knowledge of the building who/ what haunted it , it’s like she didn’t know what she was doing , I know The paranormal Is unpredictable ) and I Wasn’t Expecting to see a ghost or anything , but you expect to be involved and drawn In to the surrounding and the whole Event , but sadly this wasn’t to be, , towards the end some of the group Just walked Off and left it was that bad …. I’ve emailed and messaged Haunted Rooms but had NO response, So save your money and avoid this company because it just seems they want your money .. and don’t care

What an absolute con. Very over priced. I received an email on the day saying the time was pushed back in case people were late. Turns out after reading other reviews here they do this at every event. No information about the ghosts that are meant to haunt the event. No showman ship at all. The ghost finding equipment was a cat toy that flashed and an electric sensor that a phone could set off. By the third hour everyone was so bored. The guide dint lead us at all and told us she didn't want to incase she influenced us. The "delicious meal locally sourced" was just a breast of chicken and 3 roast potatoes from a bag. We had a coffee breathe coffee was so weak I could not taste it. Despite the event finishing at 3am and was in mid Wales all of the haunted room staff drove home that very night. There was no one to complain to. I want not expecting to see a ghost but I felt some showmanship and effort would at least be made. The whole thing was con. Do not support this even. The only good thing about it was that the hotel and staff were just lovely

I wish I had seen these reveiws before paying £110 for a shambles of an evening. The event was advertised to start at 8pm then I got an email including this.... You can arrive any time after 8.15pm, but we will commence with the ghost hunt from 9.00 pm onwards. Our events start later than advertised to allow for late arrivals and traffic disruptions. Events don't need to start later than advertised, people will arrive on time. Everyone arrived before 9pm but yet you started before, which was chaotic and the start of things to come. No atmosphere at all was set to make the event a success. Everyone in my group was completely bored. We didn't know any information about any spirits that could be in the building and yet you advertised it as haunted. The only method of contacting spirit's was light up balls. The other device kept going off because of electrical. Again advertised on your website is use of paranormal equipment. I heard the guide talking to another group leader and saying they had activity in a certain corner of a room. Then later they said that they had a "funny feeling" when they came in about that corner but they didn't want to influence us. In fact they had just sourced information from the previous group. There needs to be a psychic medium in each group as sharing gossip is not the same as communicating.  The advertised refreshments, included Aldi own brand seal bars and I can only assume cheap tea bags as they were decanted into tupperware tubs don't even know what date was on them or anything as not labelled. I could have bought my own cat balls and a pack of seals from Aldi and saved £107. I have been to the Guildhall many times and have never been so bored or underwhelmed before.

Pre booked Missenden Abbey ghost hunt with room, 3 course meal, breakfast and ghost hunt for March 2023. Negatives… - Over 60 people on the event due to one getting cancelled the week before. Way too many! A smaller group would have been better. - No structure. Hosts didn’t introduce themselves, provide us with an schedule of events , explain about the building or history. It felt like they where making up excuses and trying to justify why things went wrong. - A lot of the guests arrived at the event to find out they didn’t have a room and the hotel blamed the events company and the events company blamed the hotel. From what we heard guests were found a room. - This was the first time that the events company had been to this hotel on a ghost hunt and it showed - they didn’t look and seem very confident. - Originally we where told the ghost hunt was starting at 8pm and it started at 9.45pm. - Food was eaten in a freezing cold marquee - majority where eating with coats on. - We sat down for the 3 course meal at 7pm and left the table at 9.30pm. - Free wine on the tables - and it kept coming and coming. Some guests were really drunk and loud. No wonder really when we where sat hanging around for 2.5 hours. Why free wine was given on a ghost hunt I’ll never know. Found it unprofessional that the hosts where drinking too! - The whole event seemed disorganised with zero structure. Positives - Good food and service from the hotel and staff. - Hotel was in lovely grounds. - Comfortable bed. - The host called Krysof was a good host and cool guy! We didn’t see or hear any ghosts ( we understand that this wasn’t guaranteed) but the 4 hosts told us that there was a presence in the hotel and the grounds. Unable to write a Google review for this company as they don’t have the facility so have had to write on other places.

Leader of the group didn’t know how to open and close an ouija board properly unfortunately.

Enjoyed our first experience of the ghost hunt. Enjoyed the atmosphere of the smaller group activities rather than the larger groups. Would like to try rooms alone as was spoken about in introduction but wasn’t facilitated. Group host very lovely but would have liked to know more of the history of the building which would enhance the evening. Overall a good evening doing an unusual activity.

It seemed a bit disjointed, the investigators didn't know anything about the event. They didn't know if it was haunted or any stories, there was no time taken to find out any back stories related to the event.

As a first timer I was unsure what to expect. Nothing mentioned of the ghost walk in the info.. so glad it was not raining! John the tour guide was really great and very informative. The main "event" was a bit hotch potch to be honest; Martin has a strange manner... and I wish we had been paired with jay whose demeanor was better, was more interesting and certainly got better results. martin complained of being exhausted (yet he is not a medium, he complained of back ache and at one point said we would not be going back upstairs as he could not be bothered taking the equipment back up. The other group of Jay's joined us with Martn towards the end and they too said the difference between both experiences was quite obvious. Would I do this again - YES, however I think it is rough around the edges, Martin could have done a lot more to make it a great experience (regardless of whether spirits made contact)
