“The products are all excellent, thought out well and innovative. It’s a bit of a pity I have had to make some of my own pieces before kaon had made a better version of similar thing. The fuse holder on the top of the auxiliary battery for example.
Sorry I have not left feed back egt blanking plate as I have not fitted it. However all your products I’ve purchase have exceeded expectation and the laser cut finish and precision on these is no exception.
I purchased the blanking plate with the intention of fitting due to an egr fault and prior to disassembly of the manifolds. I had fitted a catch can but only after the vehicle completed 80,000 kms without one. Thinking the worst at 140,000 km with an egt fault I purchased it a little late not arriving in time before the weekend I was looking to disassemble with a knowledgeable mechanic (my fault).
On disassembly there was no significant carbon build up of the manifolds. It turned out to be a connector problem with the sensor which we only found on back tracking and needed to fit a new plug and loom.
As we reassembled everything before it arrived I have decided not to fit it at this stage. I might if I get significant build up but would appear catch can is working and gave manifold a clean anyway but did not remove bottom section as was not warranted and is significantly a lot of work.
Have heard a couple of comments about them causing back pressure issues and triggering egt fault however had several others swear by them and if you realise the amount of work involved in cleaning I let manifolds well worth giving a try at least. I think my older 3.0 litre motor doesn’t have as big an issue as the newer 2.8 litre not sure however. At this stage should be good for another 140,000 kms.”

“In the U.S. - once I received my order, I drained the diff and installed the plug. The plug removal tool made it extremely easy to remove the O.E. Plug on my FJ Cruiser. I am extremely thankful that I found KAON through FB and FJ forums. It made my life a lot easier- and KAON’s diff plug was night and day difference from the Toyota O.E. plug, the magnet was surprisingly strong and I am glad to leave an excellent review for this company and their parts. “I recently purchased the spare wheel gas bottle mount. The product itself is an absolutely fantastic design and idea.
My only suggestions would be:
1: the clamps for the base of the gas bottle rub on the bottom of the cylinder and you have to completely remove the bolt every time you want to dismount or mount the bottle. A small rounding of the clamp itself on the back corners alleviates this and makes it work smoothly in and out.
2: I mounted my sand flag on the bracket but it would be fantastic if the mount had some pre drilled 10mm holes In the top or side to allow for an easier mount or bracket to be fitted would be ideal. This saves having to drill extra holes in the product.
I also fitted to a 150 series prado, my only other thought would be to supply it with the back door spacers to stop the sag with the extra weight.
Otherwise fantastic product and would recommend to anyone to purchase in the future.”
