“These are PERFECT for my dining chairs to prevent scratching of my wooden floor. They are very substantial and durable, with a strong nail (not a staple) or a screw for fitting. Just follow the instructions to fit : Drill a pilot hole as recommended and THEN EITHER use a mallet to hammer the nails in OR use a screwdriver to screw the screw in if you are fitting the screw type glide. Job done!

“We've just had a new kitchen floor fitted and I ordered some chair glides to protect it from potential damage when we're pushing out from the table while the chairs are still bearing weight. Easy to fit (I bought the nail fixing type) and 3 weeks or so on, they're doing their job well. They are German-made, so more expensive than those made in China, but I expect they will be more reliable in the long term.
