“Please do not go near this company. They talk a big game at the start, do not fall for it!
We got our roof done in October cost us over £11,000. Our old roof never had a leak and our new one does. It gets worse however.
We were passed to the “remedial team” this is an after sales team who deal with any issues. Took weeks to get a reply we eventually get them to come out on two occasions, after threatening legal action, both of which have had no impact on repairing the leak.
We have been in contact with a Steven. He has now rosetted to reading and ignoring my messages and refusing to answer my calls.
We now have no other option but to seek legal action. This will cost thousands no doubt. The leak has came through to our bedroom completely ruing a wall.
We have a newborn baby and a child with autism which they know and do not care about.
There is so much more to write about but it would take all day. Please just stay away from this company what was meant to be a new roof has turned into 4 months of absolute nightmare with no end sight.”
“Do not use!! Roof and gutter done in the summer. First they forgot to do the gutters and told me the roof was done. Second they done a terrible job on the gutters. Third they said they fixed the gutters, didn't . Now been waiting three weeks on them to fix the gutters and the tiles that have fell off. Were meant to come today and no showed, are now telling me I have to wait another week and there is literally holes in the roof. Absolutely joke”
“This is not a pop at the tradesmen who work for Lomond Improvements Ltd or the standard of work, but a pop at the management of Lomond Improvements who cannot or will not organise someone to repair a leak in the rhone joint between our property and our neighbours. A Lomond Improvements manager assured me that he would get someone to carry out the repair week commencing 17th October, well Lomond Improvements we are now entering the 3rd week since you were going to repair this leak, this is not the first attempt to try to get Lomond Improvements to return and fix this leak, Lomond Improvements are obliged to carry out repairs.
Lomond Improvements claim to be a nation wide company so Lomond Improvements if you want to be treated like a big player then act like one and carry out your remedial work.
So a warning to anyone thinking of getting Lomond Improvements to do any work on their property I hope the work is carried out to a satisfactory standard as you will struggle to get Lomond Improvements to return to rectify any defects.
Also a warning to neighbours of properties that Lomond Improvements are working on take photographs of you property before Lomond Improvements start work then after Lomond Improvements are finished, as our new drive was damaged by falling roof tiles, metal railings were damaged by scaffolding and falling debris and the close door and frame were also damaged by scaffolders. Lomond Improvements are denying any liability despite numerous requests to pay for the damage caused.
Just in case anyone missed the name of this company its Lomond Improvements.

Again I will say that the standard of work carried out by Lomond Improvements is not in question albeit their working practices are a bit dodgy.
I am sorry that I have had to take to social media to try and get Lomond Improvements to rectify this leak, but since Lomond Improvements aren't responding by any other means I had no other options.
Lomond Improvements get this fixed before 2nd Nov and I will remove this post”
“I had a salesperson to give me a quote on 17.05.21. The salesperson gave us a cost which we said we would have to think about because it was going to cost £6000. The salesperson wouldn't take the answer "we would have to think about it". We decided we weren't paying the interest over 10 year. I tried explaining we would need to save the money up before we made any decisions. Salesperson wouldn't take no for an answer. In the end felt very presurised to sign contract. He kept saying I don't know what the problem is. Simple can't afford at the moment after all I only wanted a quote. In the meantime he was on the phone to his boss, saying they still say no, which I thought was out of order & harassment. Today 18.05.21 salesperson called to give us another £1000 off, again said no as interest over 10 year is rediculous. Hopefully don't hear from them again. If I do I will go to Trading Standards for harassement. Just wanted a quote. Stay clear of this company”
“They tried to charge £260 for clicking on their 'Book Now' facebook button and when I refused to pay it and asked to go to dispute resolution I was then threatened with an email stating "proceed if you like, I wouldn't want the cost to increase any further" would you trust them?”
“This company has shocking customer service and now realising the workmanship isn't all they claimed it to be. Very professional and great communication when you agree to proceed but once the job is done and they've been paid, they don't want to hear or help with any issues.
I really wish I could share images I have.
To begin with we were sold on the idea of roof tiles that have a locking system not a nailing system meaning you aren't putting holes in the tile itself. When the job manager turned up we were told this was not the case, that these tiles exist but not what we'd be able to get on our roof. Not to worry we'll still proceed.
After the job was done our garden was covered, I mean covered, in nails and staples. We have a toddler so I was not amused. They also managed to break an outside security light off the wall and when I contacted them was told someone would come to view it and we'd been e-mailing regarding it. They didn't come out to view it! So I e-mailed images got no reply so after a few days I phoned. I was to be told the person I was trying to contact no longer worked for the company. Yet nobody picked up that persons work load to contact me or have things followed up. I was told that they would speak with a Manager and ask about the light, saying it would most likely be a cheque to cover the cost of repairing it. Again no one ever called us. I live in a semi-detached property, my neighbour decided he too would get Lomond Improvements to do his roof. Without even asking the company decided just to keep using my garden for all the materials and scaffolding pieces. I was working away at this point and was told by my wife.
My neighbours side has tiles that don't look secure and in fact on the back side of the house the tile batons can be seen all the way down one side. I'm no roofer but tiles need to cover the wood the rain is going to get in and rot all the wood. Our roof and my neighbours was done in December 2019 so I have given the business ample time and opportunity to sort everything way before any Covid lock down restrictions were put in place. I hope the Company owner reads this and takes action. I did say on the phone to staff I would give the company the opportunity to restore my faith and allow them to resolve the problems but this has not happened.”
