I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity to complete my medical internship. Morocco was a great experience. Overall, it was a very valuable and rewarding experience. I had the chance to attend several interesting surgical procedures, which significantly enhanced my understanding of operative techniques, perioperative management, and teamwork in the operating room. Observing during these surgeries strengthened my clinical knowledge. In addition, I encountered a wide variety of clinical cases across different departments. This exposure allowed me to improve my diagnostic reasoning, history taking, and patient communication. The diversity of cases greatly contributed to my academic growth and helped me connect theoretical knowledge with real life clinical practice. I am truly grateful to the medical staff and supervisors for their guidance, support, and willingness to teach throughout the internship. The experience has further motivated me in my medical career. Thank you once again for this excellent learning opportunity.

Honestly one of the best decisions I've made during med school! Did 4 weeks at Max Hospital in Delhi this January and it was incredible. Rotated through paeds, general ward, and orthopaedics. The doctors were amazing, super welcoming and actually took time to teach. The paediatrics department was my highlight, though ortho was fascinating too (saw some crazy fracture cases!). Everything was really well organized - accommodation sorted, airport pickup arranged, and the support team were always available if I needed anything. Shankar was amazing and showed me around and was available when I needed him. Delhi itself was an absolute adventure - the food alone was worth the trip! If you're thinking about it, stop overthinking and just book it. You won't regret it!

My experience in Phnom Penh on the medical placement was very positive. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There were 8 other participants in the Star house when I was there and I made some great friends. The hospital placement was an eye opening experience for me, which will definitely help me in my future medicine career. Look forward to come come back to Cambodia soon..

I spent 1 month and 3 weeks traveling. Of that time, 6 weeks were in Peru, and 4 through the program. So I can say that I was able to get to know the culture and the city in depth. I can also say that my experience changed a lot compared to when I was traveling on my own and when the program started. With the program, I had the opportunity to meet many people, friends, and the lovely host family. Getting to know different cultures and people from all over the world was magical. We have plenty of time to be tourists. Regarding the medical program, I can say that it depends a lot on yourself, your willpower, interest, knowledge of the language, and the service/doctor you work with. At first, I felt a little lost, but little by little I started talking to and looking for people from the service who were available and interested for me to accompany them.

The program was an eye opening experience and I loved everything about it! Everything was smooth from the booking to landing in Nepal. Uma, Rashmila both were amazing and helped me feel comfortable at home. I got to see different departments at the hospital, which was exciting. The food at home and at local restaurants was amazing and I loved the dal that and momos! I also liked the fact that there is lot of flexibility and you can go around in the evenings to explore the city. I went to Pokhara as well and Uma was kind to arrange a trip for me over the weekend.

Excellent program in an amazing city. Everything was so much fun, definitely must know Spanish to come or you will not get to do much. Everything was well organized and the managers were always available if you had questions. I will be very sad leaving. The tours were wonderful, Cusco is such a pretty place. The city also feels relatively safe compared to other places and the locals are all very kind. We made so many friends that we met. You are also given a lot of freedom to explore and encouraged to go out and about.

I had an amazing experience with the medical programs in Jaipur, India and Chiang Mai, Thailand. In Jaipur, I had more hands-on opportunities and learned directly from healthcare professionals, while in Chiang Mai I gained valuable insight into hospital practices and cultural approaches to medicine. Both programs were well-organized, culturally immersive, and incredibly rewarding. I highly recommend the programs to anyone interested in medical placements abroad!

I completed a one-week rotation in the internal medicine department at Mt Meru Hospital in Arusha, which was an insightful and rewarding experience. The placement offered exposure to a healthcare system different from my own and allowed me to observe how internal medicine is practiced in a resource-limited setting. I found it particularly valuable to see how clinical reasoning, patient management, and treatment approaches were adapted to local circumstances. Working alongside local healthcare professionals created meaningful opportunities for learning and professional exchange. During my time at the hospital, I was able to gain broad clinical exposure and actively engage with different teams, which enhanced my overall learning experience. All departments were welcoming, supportive, and keen to involve students, creating a positive and encouraging learning environment. The experience was both educational and professionally enriching. Living arrangements during the placement were well suited to the needs of visiting students, providing a comfortable and supportive environment throughout the stay. Meals were consistently delicious, and the welcoming nature of both staff and the local community contributed greatly to a positive overall experience. Extending the duration of the program would allow future participants to engage more deeply with the internal medicine rotation and gain even greater clinical benefit.

I spent one week in the ENT department at Mt Meru Hospital in Arusha, and overall, it was a very valuable and enriching experience. The rotation offered exposure to a different healthcare system, allowing me to observe different perspectives, clinical approaches, and guidelines, particularly within a resource-limited setting. I appreciated the opportunity to interact with local healthcare professionals and exchange knowledge and ideas, which contributed greatly to my learning. During that specific week, some scheduling factors were beyond our control, including a public holiday and staff leave, which meant ENT clinics were running on limited days. To make the most of the time available, I joined the general surgery team on the remaining days, where I continued to gain meaningful clinical exposure. I found all departments to be very welcoming and supportive throughout my time there. Despite this, the experience was positive and educational. The accommodation was excellent-clean, comfortable, and well organized. The food was very good, and the people were kind and welcoming, which made the overall experience enjoyable. I would have definitely loved the opportunity to spend more than one week in the program, as one week felt too short to fully benefit from the ENT exposure.

I took part in the Medical Program in Arusha, Tanzania, and it was the best experience of my life. During the planning of the trip, I faced some difficulties, but the staff were extremely helpful and quick in solving any issues. I am already a doctor, and I spent one month there. During this time, I had the opportunity to learn about the local culture, teach many things, and practice medicine. This experience truly opens your mind, and I would recommend it to anyone. Being in contact with local people, as well as with other volunteers from all over the world, was incredibly enriching. We were treated very well in the house, and we also formed friendships with the people working there; everyone was extremely approachable. To sum up, everything about this experience was unforgettable: the experience itself, the friendships, the culture, and the food.
