“Buying for my brothers is very hard when fashion for teens and guys in their twenties pretty much shoves young men into a box and doesn't give them very much say in their appearance and taste. To come across this site was extremely exciting, to see the quality and the variety and the accuracy, the attention to beauty and detail! Thanks to RevivalVintage, I was able to make Christmas very special this year for my sixteen-year-old brother who can't believe he now has two Winston Churchill Homburg hats (he has Churchill's speeches memorized) and my other younger brother recently in his twenties who loves adding a bit of beautiful knitwear under his suits when going out, and always elevates the tone of anyplace he goes. I had already purchased some lovely knit waistcoats for his birthday last year, and he's wearing his cardigan all over the place. I was pleasantly surprised by just how soon everything arrived despite living overseas, and how much use my brothers are getting out of everything-- how much they enjoyed each gift. I'm very proud of my sweet and gentlemanly brothers and I'm very grateful that you've provided them with such lovely things to enjoy. Thank you very much for putting so much effort into this service! This is without a doubt my go-to shop whenever I want to treat Vince or Paul to something very special and worthwhile. Will absolutely recommend and shop again.”

“I live in the US, and in general, I'm hesitant about buying items in the UK given the cost to return items, given I sometimes find the sizing guidelines to be inconsistent for new items I buy from UK shops. I bought two pieces of knitwear from Revival Vintage (RV) and both items were smaller than the sizes shown on the web site. Not saying I won't buy items in the future from RV, but I will be more cautious.”

Hi Michael, thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't find our size charts to be accurate. We do always have detailed measurements in the description of each item. I can see you actually picked up three pieces of knitwear, so if you'd like to reach out about the two which were smaller than expected I can look into this further. Knitwear, especially our hand-produced Scottish pieces, can vary slightly because of the production method and the nature of the material. My apologies again that you didn't find the pieces fitted well.

“It looked gorgeous on line but when it arrived it was disappointing. The red faux croc bag was very small and not as much of a statement piece as I was expecting as it wasn’t cheap. It looked like it was made for a child rather than an adult annd looked cheaply made and obviously it was made by Collectif so not actually Revival’s fault. I was going to purchase a green bag the same but I won’t bother now. 😌”

“Hello. I'm disappointed to have to give you one star, however, since I had to return the item (spearpoint collar shirt) as unwearable, I think it is fair. I am 6'1" tall and approximately 15 1/2 stone. I have been wearing 15 1/2" collar shirts for as long as I can remember. I received my shirt, and the collar size was a perfect fit. The arm length, however, was ridiculously short, and the body of the shirt was tight all over. Given that in your information, you suggest buying sleeve holders, as "the sleeves are extra long". I am confused, and extremely disappointed in my purchase. Surely this was a manufacturing error? A polite and considered reply was received and a refund was received promptly, so I thank you for that. Your marketing, in this case, does not reflect the quality of your product. My hopes were high, and I had planned to wear the shirt at a singing performance that I was giving the following day. Let down.”

Sleeve length is not an issue we've heard about often from other customers, but it's of course something we will keep an eye on and watch for any other feedback about sleeve length in the future. We're currently updating how we present the sizing information for our shirts to hopefully prevent any experiences like this in the future. Thanks again for your review.

“I was extremely disappointed on receiving the detached collar I ordered. It was the wrong size - too small and it was not clean, it looked reused. For the cost this seemed very bad purchase! I do not feel like buying anything else from you again.”

“I absolutely loved the suit 🤩 sadly had to send back as jacket too big but skirt fitted just fine. Wish they sold their jackets & shirts separately so odd shaped women ie bigger hips than bust like me could buy a suite. Return & refund was super easy. So excellent customer service.”

We have experimented with selling separates before but unfortunately, the size of our business and limited storage makes it very complicated. We usually recommend that customers visit a tailor for alterations to customise the fit further, though I appreciate this doesn't suit everyone. Thanks for giving us a try regardless - I'm glad our customer service was easy to deal with!

I might've been tempted to buy more but for the fact that the items I was interested in were made in China, and I don't like to buy anything made in China due to their appalling human rights, expansionist policies, and increasing(ly dangerous) military and economic power and domination.”

Thanks for your review. We do manufacture our clothing and accessories within the UK where possible, and otherwise source items from all over the world. The factory we work with in China to produce some of our items is one we have worked with for several years and trust in its ethics.

Thanks for your review Tanja! I'm glad you enjoyed the pieces you received. My apologies that the skirt's silhouette was different than expected. We do describe the skirt as a pencil style - it's tapered at the waist and then should have a straight silhouette from the hips downwards when worn. The images on our site are true reflections of how the skirt looks worn by customers and staff. If you feel that the one you've received is markedly different, please get in touch as that would be an error.
