“Recieved the parcel within the estimated delivery time, well packed. Hi there, I'm disappointed to hear that this dress didn't meet your expectations. We source quite a few styles from this supplier and have found their pieces to be well-liked by our customers. I did compare our stock in hand to our website images in response to this review, and I found them to be accurate in depicting the bright green colour of the dress in good lighting. I'm glad to hear you had a smooth experience with returns however. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.

“Pleased with the item. The let down for me was the label that stated 'handmade in poland'. I surmised from the company, and the item described, that I was purchasing an item handmade in Scotland with Scottish wool, handworked in Scotland. As a fleece processor and spinner I understand the handworked in Scotland. But nowhere did I read the wool was then sent to Poland ! When all I wanted was a Fair Isle processed and knitted in Scotland as they ought to be.”

“The sweater vest is beautiful and well made. However, it is too small. My wife checked my chest measurement before ordering and ordered XL based on that. However, when the sweater arrived it is clearly one size too small. She needs to arrange an exchange.”

Hi Allan, thanks for your review. We've reviewed the sizing information on our tank tops in light of this feedback and didn't find a discrepancy between our size chart and these knits. It can vary depending on what's worn underneath. Unfortunately, we no longer have stock of the particular style you ordered in a 2XL, and we are unable to offer exchanges to overseas customers due to shipping costs. However, you would be welcome to return the tank top and potentially place a new order for a different colourway in a size 2XL. “Fedora hat - fine but could do with a cople of air holes either side the blue and dark grey trouser are not really the right material ( not quite sure about them ) all the trouser , it would be useful to have belt loops ( i know that would not be the 1940's style )”

Hi Les, thank you for your review! As you've noted, air holes on our wool fedoras and/or belt loops on our fishtail trouser styles would not be accurate to the 40s style which is the niche we aim to cater to. We choose our fabrics carefully to have the feel of original garments while being easier to wash and iron for our customers - my apologies that it wasn't for you. We are introducing a style of chinos with belt loops in the next month or so which may be worth checking out, and we do have our 50s style Chuck peg trousers which have belt loops as well.
