“Both cardigans are beautiful. Not cheap but investment pieces and in a classic style that won’t become dated. Seen similar cardigans by Harley on sale from other websites at a much higher price. I’ve so far got 4 Socialite Harley cardigans and have been impressed by the quality. Postage costs overseas were reasonable too. Will buy again from Revival Vintage.”

“I’m honestly quite disappointed given the high price of this item. The quality is undeniably very high, it’s light and warm and clearly good-quality wool. But the colours are much more pastel than all of the photos (I know colours are difficult to get exact, but this isn’t even particularly close). The fit is also quite loose and baggy, not at all “curve hugging”. I’m a size 10/12 generally and bought a S, and it’s still longer and looser than I wanted. I’m disappointed because all of this could be easily fixed with better photos and product description, which doesn’t seem a big ask at this price point.”

Hi Jessica, thanks for your review. We do include a model image to illustrate the fit - it will depend on your figure as to how it fits of course. Previous reviews have found the imagery to be accurate in terms of colour, but it will depend on your screen.

“Amazing quality and shipping speeds. We ordered three items on a Sunday and recieved them in California from the UK on Wednesday. We were more than ready to go to the Spirit of 45 event we had the following week. The clothing turned heads and garnered many positive comments and we were happy to provide folks the info on who provided. We state the inside leg length of each of our trouser styles in their descriptions - we do not claim they are suitable for all heights, but some styles do have some excess fabric in the turnup that can potentially be used to alter them longer, and many of our customers also choose to have them shortened. It's unfortunate that your purchase didn't work out this time but thanks for giving us a try regardless.

“I was so looking forward to receiving the dress as I loved the pictures of it but unfortunately was very disappointed. It was surprisingly tight across the chest for the size and the buttons were actually false with poppers on the underside. The main issue was with the fabric however which was supposedly cotton but which was 'plasticky' and rustly and reminded me of a wipeable tablecloth. This may have improved on washing but I obviously wouldn't have been able to then return had it not. For some reason I'd expected the item to be British made so was also disappointed to see that it was made in China. Reluctant to order anything else due to return costs.”

Hi there, thanks for your feedback. It's unfortunate to hear that you were disappointed with your Harmony dress. We do clearly state in the description that the dress is fastened with press studs, not the front buttons, as we replicate originals exactly and this was a feature of the true vintage 1940s dress we replicated. The fabric of the dress is indeed cotton but as we note in the description, it has been glazed in the process of replicating the original 40s print, which slightly alters the texture. “I own three of the Harmony dresses and I love them so much! My wardrobe is 1940s- early 50s inspired and I reach for these dresses constantly! The fit and fabric is perfect for doing light housework but so easy to dress up! I get compliments all the time.”

“The 1940s style dress that I bought is lovely and I had loads of complements. Only one thought - the glazed cotton proved to be rather warm in the extremely high temperature and didn't breathe as well as the two plain cotton dresses that I bought in the same style. Perhaps I'll reserve this dress for the Spring.”
