About ScratchSleeves:

ScratchSleeves are invaluable in coping with itchy, scratchy babies and children. The smooth silk mitts minimise damage, allowing your little one's skin time to heal, while the sleeve design ensures that ScratchSleeves stay firmly in place. Stopping babies, toddlers and young children scratching themselves can be a real challenge, especially as they get older and can take off traditional scratch mitts.

ScratchSleeves are effective for all sorts of scratching and irritation including eczema, chicken pox, scab-picking, post-operative healing, ear pulling and poking, overly enthusiastic thumb sucking and even hair pulling.

We are constantly working on our product range. Please do get in touch and let us know how you and your little one get on with ScratchSleeves. We're always interested to hear your thoughts and ideas as every child is different and what works well for our children may need adjusting a little to help yours.

It's more of a 3.5 at the moment but previously a 5. The quality of goods is great and it really helps stop my daughter obliterate her skin. My current rating is because though when I first contacted because my sleeves were fraying at the top of the mits, they were replaced, the next time it happened to other ones I was told it must be "because my daughter is particularly rough with them", and referred to the synthetic silk which is more robust. 2 were replaced free but it was actually 4 I had sent photos of. I was told that if the synthetic ones were appropriate, I could purchase more at the site (not in line with their replacement guarantee). When I visited the website the synthetic ones were nowhere to be found. I couldn't be bothered with the rigmorol of contacting again so just ordered more of the usual. It's a shame as I am mostly pleased with them to be fair but my daughter is a toddler - she's not undertaking heavy duty work in them! The guarantee should stand regardless otherwise the durability issue should be addressed and the mits made even more resilient. Being told it was because of my child then only having 2 out of 4 replaced wasn't the best customer service in this instance

My son is 2 years old. He was okay with the pants. However, he refused to dress in the clothes no matter how we tried. He said he hands were missing and he wants his hands back. It will be better if the hand mitten can be flapped over when it is not needed like those baby onesie

I ordered scratch sleeves for hair pulling in my almost 3 year old. I ordered 2-3 but they were a little large on her and she worked out how to get them off by shaking her arms so I probably needed a size below. She hated wearing them and sometimes just the thought would stop her for a short while but in our experience they didn't work as she pulled her hair all the time and she couldn't wear them 24/7. I think for night they would have been successful if she had been happy to wear them but they caused her too much upset. However delivery and service was second to none and u would recommend still as others seem to have had a lot of success.

Useful sleeves for LO who scratches at night and this stops him from scratching himself and waking up. It does get loose after a few washes.

My little one (18 mo) has started pulling his own hair at night and even pulling it out. I have been worried about it for some time and randomly came across scratch sleeves so decided to try a pj top. We are 3 nights in and it has certainly stopped him doing it and he doesn't seem to bothered about not having his hands free aswell. A great product to try that I would certainly recommend.

Very good product. Only downside that it seems to stretch out quite easily.

Good pyjamas. Just one problem, we found the sizes much to big.

Does a very good job of protecting my baby's skin from his scratches. Clever idea and lovely soft silk hand covers.

When our 4 month old suddenly started to scratch her eczema during the night we didn't know how to stop her. Babygrows with integrated mitts did nothing as she seemed to be able to escape like the Great Houdini! The silk on the ends ensure that even if she rubs her face she doesn't hurt herself. My only niggle is that the material seemed to stretch a bit, so they end up being a bit too long.

Easy to put on and the silk mitts offer great protection from the scratchy fingers! Would be perfect if the mitts part could be flipped open so that the babies can wear this during playtime.

I find these pjs incredibly helpful with my little one. The most effective treatment of their eczema is to prevent them from scratching… without the ScratchSleeves pjs I found it very difficult to stop my lo from scratching whilst asleep. These, at least, protect the skin from being broken! We all sleep better when my child is wearing the ScratchSleeves pjs!

Bought this for my daughter cause she’s been scratching her wrists and ankles until bleeding. She got confused when she wears the sleeves but after a while she got over it. But she manage to get her arms out so make sure you get the right size for your little ones!

The product is the most useful on the market. I have said before though that the double layer could do with being brought up further. All of ours have torn on the arms around where the arm joins the hand. We have had to replace so many before they've even been grown out of.

Our 3 year old son had bad eczema since birth. Last year this culminated in a serious infection (ecema herpeticum) resulting in a hospital stay. This was due his constant itching at night, breaking his skin (even with short nails) and continual itching not allowing the skin to heal. Since then we purchased a pair of scratch sleeves, and they have HELPED MASSIVELY. At night, even if he itches he rarely breaks his skin, he can still rub away but it just allows us to get some sleep and has just given us some piece of mind. He enjoys wearing them too as he thinks he becomes a lion with paws! It isn't the ultimate solution, but since purchase we no longer wake up to bloody sheets and excoriated skin. The only small criticism is perhaps the mittens portion could be slightly more hard wearing, our last pair seemed to come apart at the hands. But overall a very good product.

My LG has really bad eczema & would scratched till she bleed, especially on her face. We tried everything & dreaded waking up as she would have managed to get her hands out to scratch her face. After doing some research found Scratch sleeves. I read story about them & decided to try it as was at my wits end. The pyjamas (plus the lotions) we have gave us peace of mind during the night. The scratch sleeves were brilliant during day especially in the car. The only thing I think would make it better would be if there were more options on colour and/or pattern. Would definitely recommend anyone with eczema prone kids to try Scratch Sleeves. I'd also like to mention I am an ordinary mum & not getting paid to put this review. It genuinely helped us & really hope it helps others.

Been using scratch sleeves for around 6 months due my my child having severe facial eczema which she scratches and rubs til the point she is bleeding and it is very prone to infection. The sleeves are great for bedtime use but I do wish they did a version with flip mittens as I find they can be restrictive for a child who is crawling/walking. I can only use at night and on car journeys and they can be a hassle putting on and off between naps etc but they do the job once they are on!

Its great in that it stops our baby scratching he self to shreds because of her skin conditions. My only gripe is that it curls/folds up/twists at the back, so I do wonder whether it’s confortable as I find her led on it crumpled up.

Right from the start 4/5 months the scratch sleeves made a difference as it stopped our little one scratching her face raw, so the creams could work and her sleep (and ours) improved. Initially she wore them all the time but now it’s just nap and bedtime. They have lasted a lot of washes and stayed in good condition. Only downside is a short body on the pyjama top always requiring a vest to cover the gap Just an update to appreciate the response from Scratchsleeves and to reinforce how much difference the sleeves made to getting the eczema under control.
