About ScratchSleeves:

ScratchSleeves are invaluable in coping with itchy, scratchy babies and children. The smooth silk mitts minimise damage, allowing your little one's skin time to heal, while the sleeve design ensures that ScratchSleeves stay firmly in place. Stopping babies, toddlers and young children scratching themselves can be a real challenge, especially as they get older and can take off traditional scratch mitts.

ScratchSleeves are effective for all sorts of scratching and irritation including eczema, chicken pox, scab-picking, post-operative healing, ear pulling and poking, overly enthusiastic thumb sucking and even hair pulling.

“I’m using this for my daughter’s hair pulling habit at night and it has so far worked very well. I was surprised she is willing to wear this and even if not, it’s very easy to put on after she falls asleep. I’m very thankful that I can rest assured now she is not pulling her hair every night. It’s been over two weeks now and I cant see any hairs in the bed when she wakes up in the morning!”

“My Grandson suffered an explosion of eczema after several high temperatures and then his skin became infected; he was admitted to the Childrens’ Hospital, he was only 9 months old. The ScratchSleeves played a MAJOR part in preventing him tearing at his skin. Thank you”

“I bought these for my son with facial eczema to stop scratching. They were speedily delivered and are a good product as they do reduce the impact of nail damage. However the silk has bobbled from the first wash despite following the washing instructions. I’m not sure how long they will last.”

Thank you for your review. This level of bobbling is very unusual and not something we would expect to see, as all of our products are treated to minimise bobbling. The localised bobbling would suggest that your little one is using the wrist seam to rub with, we have another solution that may be better suited to your little one's needs. “We're so pleased with our scratch sleeve, and baby tolerates having them on overnight with ease. Its soft and the particular mitten parts are a lovely soft satin. After a week noticed no new scratches with baby over night. Very happy with it!”

“My daughter is 6 months old and has very bad eczema. These have honestly been a life saver. With standard mitts on she would still cause sores when itching/rubbing in her sleep. Before I got these mitts it got to the point I couldn’t leave her side due to itching and hurting herself. With these scratch sleeves the have made such a positive impact to our lives. 10 out of 10 would recommend if you have a baby with eczema or other skin issues”

“I have been using these scratch sleeves for my little one since he was 2-3 months old. I initially would make him wear gloves but he managed to remove them in the night from scratching so much. These sleeves have been a life saver truly. I buy back up in case I need to put one in the wash or lose it because I can’t sleep at peace without knowing he’s wearing it. He tries to scratch wearing these sleeves but because of the satin material on the hands, it protects his skin. Thank you so much for creating something that has given me the ease of mind that he won’t wake up scratching. The reality is that if he didn’t have this, he’d be having trips to the doctors because of the damage he does to his skin.”

“Excellent product! My baby’s face was always weepy and scratched despite using socks, mittens, and even tubular bandages. Our nurse specialist recommended Scratch Sleeves, and they have made a huge difference. No more constant scratching, the skin is healing, and my baby is much more comfortable. Truly a lifesaver for eczema-prone babies — highly recommended.”

“I bought these for my daughter who pulls her hair out in her sleep. They have worked amazingly, can’t believe the difference already. They are clearly really good quality. I thought it would be a battle to get them on but they never have been so must be comfy for her. They came incredibly quickly. Would definitely recommend.”

“Scratch sleeves have been a lifesaver with our 6m old little boy who has severe eczema. He was scratching day and night and his fingers would always come out of built in mitts and and he learned how to take off the others. This has given us such peace of mind especially when in the car or at night. We now have 4 pairs we rotate as he has them on most of the time.”

“ScratchSleeves have been a life-saver with managing our son's eczema - the pajamas have been a great way to stop him scratching overnight and the scratch sleeves make it really easy to pop the hand covers on and off quickly for shorter periods. The items all feel of good quality and have washed well (they get washed on a very regular basis given the amount of emollient we use!). The silk gloves do tend to fail more quickly than the rest of the items (though still after a long while), but the hands are still covered and we find them just as effective. The vests are particularly useful at bed time as our son has gotten a bit older (2 years) and wanting to have his hands free to hold books/turn pages - we can still get him creamed up and dressed ready, and just fold the mittens down until it's time to tuck him in. The only item we've had to change are the dungarees - our son has a particularly long body so while 21-24 months (when he is 2 years old) is fine for pajamas and the vests, we've found even the 2-3y is a bit tight length wise for the dungarees. ScratchSleeves made it so easy to return (for free) for the larger size though, and we had the replacement within 2 days of first getting in touch - really very impressive customer service. I would strongly recommend ScratchSleeves for any parents of eczema kids, they're a lovely company with very effective garments.”

“These scratch sleeves have been a life saver, we have used these since my child was a baby due to severe eczema. We tried generic mitts at first but they would never stay on, these do with the velcro fastenings and my child loves them. They are now his comforter and also stop him from scratching when having a flare up. They always last until he grows out of them and into the next size.”
