“I’ve had the Wapiti size 44 for just over a year so time for a review. I got them at a discount price otherwise I’m not sure I would have went for the orange. Barefoot style shoes can stick out enough without being in a bright colour. But I got more used to that after they got worn in a bit and actually like the colour now. They fit great and are very comfortable. I’ve got 2 pairs of vivos (45) and a pair of xeros and these are the most comfortable/cozy. I think the boot helps the overall fit. I also bought the woolly insoles for them which I’m sure helps the comfort level. I’m not a fan of the split design sole, but that’s for personal reasons. It works fine on one foot but I’ve got a hammer toe on the second toe which causes a pressure point right at the joint of the split in the sole. It’s fine most of the time but causes an issue on longer walks on hard ground. I’d choose different soles if buying again. They’re pretty decent in light rain or damp conditions despite being fabric material. The can take a bit of water before getting through. I spray them with repellent occasionally which helps. They’re probably my favourite to wear on my local wooded trails and rocky beach, so long as it’s not too wet - Ireland!😁”

Many thanks for your detailed review, Michael! We're delighted that the Wapiti has become such a beloved companion for you in combination with the Wooly, despite love at second sight. Without an additional insole, the new Pure or Shell Sole could perhaps offer more comfort for your feet without the sole gap - feel free to contact us at foxsupport@wildling.shoes for further support. We hope you continue to enjoy your local hikes and thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback! Kind regards from the Wildling team, Miriam

“Die Woll-Wildlinge sind für den Winter die besten im puncto Wärme, mit Wollsohle super. Durch die umfassende ganze Sohle bleiben die Schuhe auch viel länger trocken (Ciclo) Der Hausschuh Nelus ist sehr warm und angenehm. Am Anfang war er etwas eng, hat sich aber geweitet. Für meinen Fuß könnte er ein klein wenig weiter sein.”

“I'm wearing wildling shoes since I dropped conventional footwear a few years back. This is pretty much the only thing I wear - despite trying more brands. They say "once you try wildlings you never go back" and it's true. There are tho things I'd like to be better in the future: long-lasting soles or the ability to replace them. Other than that, I can't really think of what to improve. The shoes are great, comfortable, as minimal as possible, provide great flexibility and come in a handful of styles and colorways. This is also a nice qol that the shoes are not split between two categories (mens and womens), at least in my opinion, as when it does I'm never sure which category to go for as I'm usually going by US men despite being a women and sometimes the size transfer doesn't work quite well between the sexes. I'm also never sure what are the differences so it saves me quite the headache trying to figure this out. Overall great company. I'm also happy they are using sustainable materials and having quality in mind. Never had any issue with the fabrics of the shoes or the stitching. The wool insole is a gamechanger as well, especially if the standard one tends to slip for you as it did for me. Another thing which is important to note - customer service is amazing. Never had any issues with returns or advice, and the shoes arrive very quickly.”
