“It’s never on time, when I have a bus to get at 7.15 and another at 7.35 and the 7.15 bus doesn’t turn up for 30 minutes it’s getting me really stressed out and annoyed.”
“I really enjoyed sitting in Huddersfield bus station for an hour surrounded by cretins too stupid to wear masks, all because their one bus an hour service couldn't be bothered to turn up.”
“absolutely terrible. i can not wait to get my license so that i never have to get on one of these buses again. they’re always late, the amount of times i’ve been late to work when it wasn’t my fault. i’m always at the bus stop on time and the 233 is never ever on time to the bus stop. fuming to say the least. the drivers don’t even apologise for being late.”
“Absolutely terrible services, Yorkshire tiger have probably cost me almost £100 in taxi fair, due to cancellations. And the bus services themselves take way too long as the people in charge seem to think they can service every village in Huddersfield on one service the 233 which used to be 2 separate services.”
“These are the crappest buses ever. The drivers deserve a medal for even driving them. Doors won't open, suspension is non existent. Driver can't hear the stop bell. I mean...stopping at the depot to get repairs, top ups...all whilst we are just trying to get to work. Unsafe, unreliable and not acceptable. £15 a week to risk my life every day”
“Worst public transports I've ever experienced! Can't rely on the schedules at all as seen buses coming whenever they want and passing the stops minutes before they are scheduled and even setting off from Halifax bus station around 15 minutes before they should! Also the schedules are outdated online as well as printed at the stops which caused me lot of pointless waiting for a bus that never arrived! I used to take 562 but will stop using their expensive 'service' from now!”
“Stopped taking cash payments so need a visa card. Fabulous that the Yorkshire Tiger are now donating bus fair to NHS charity. Well Done Yorkshire Tiger.”
“Can not fault the 737 bus in these hard times. It has turned up on the days I have used it to get to work.so thank you to all your drivers for turning up so I can go to work. Well done”
“The bus my daughter has to catch to get to school at times doesn't show up at all causing my daughter to be late for school, the school has already told me that they expect 100% attendance,my daughter also receives a detention whenever she is late,if you cannot provide a reliable bus service what is the point of having a bus service at all,I buy weekly tickets but feel that i'm been cheated and that the school is punishing my daughter for something that is not her fault”
“The X58 route is the most unreliable service. It is never on time and you are lucky if the bus even turns up! The timetable online bares no resemblance to when the bus does turn up. Terrible service”
“Almost always late, the vehicles themselves are death traps. Extremely uncomfortable, noisy and everything rattles. Pulled a muscle in my neck last week followed by a nosebleed due to the bus crashing up and down. Almost every time I have to travel on these horrendous things I end up with a massive head ache and/or back ache. Again today i opted for a taxi home because i just feel sick with the clanging and crashing these busses do on the road. I have a bus pass but because of yorkshire tiger i choose expense over sustaining personal injury.”
“Bought a return ticket from Meltham to Huddersfield. 16.05 and 16.35 failed to turn up so had to pay again to catch the First bus. Appalling service. Won't be using again.”
“The 303 bus has stopped turning up. When it does show, its at random times. I thought the standard of service would drop even more after there first couple of weeks. Now they have landed a big contract in the area overtaking metro they only want to make an effort with the major bus routes for the money. Some fat cat creaming money for the public to suffer poor services just like with the trains. Also the buses are disgusting. Its like going back to the run down 80s or something. Hardly any seats with dirty horrible tiger print seats and engines that sound like a dying cat.”
