“Definitely would NOT recommend buying from York Stone Sales. Enquired and bought dry stone walling and bespoke made steps to match. When the "bespoke made steps" arrived, they were NOT at all what I had spoken to (many times via email and over the phone) the Sales Person about ordering and NOT as advertised on their website. Instead we were sent mismatched, odd-sized coping stones which looked like they came out of a dumpster! When I told the Sales Dept I was sent the wrong product, instead of receiving an apology and being told it would be sorted out, I instead was dealt with extremely rudely. The Sales Person outright contradicted himself many times and told many mis-truths on the phone, he gave numerous different excuses (each time) as to how it was my fault and eventually was just told flat out it was not his problem. I was told I needed to rebuy (at my cost) what I had already ordered, at almost double the cost of what I had already paid. Besides just receiving the wrong product, which was annoying but we would have accepted an apology and replacement- I have never had to speak to such a rude person before! An expensive mistake to make choosing to deal with this company as now we are stuck with over-priced, offcuts of york stone that can not be used.”
