I bought the DMD vintage in size XL after reading reviews and seeing various video which all say that it's the least 'bobble head' of UK legal open face helmets. I received the helmet quickly and well protected from Urban Rider - as usual great service from the company. Straight away you can see the shell is smaller than other open faces, I've owned a Bell 500 which is a great helmet but the shell size is considerably bigger than the DMD. Fitment wise, Urban riders guide is bang on. It's tighter than the Bell 500 in XL. Quality wise I'd say the Bell feels slightly more premium than the DMD but the DMD is still nicely but together. Would I pay full retail for this helmet? No, as personally I don't think any open face helmet is worth £200, but I think it's definitely worth the current prices Urban Rider are charging for the whole DMD vintage range. Overall if your after a retro open face lid the DMD vintage is an excellent choice.
