bought the 162 as an entry level ground saw for my son who I’ve got working with me on occasion, I wanted an easy-to-use saw which wasn’t too expensive, but something which he can work with and maintain himself. I didn’t expect too much, but was really impressed with the saw, obviously not as powerful as any of our pro saws and you can feel that it doesn’t have as much torque, this was expected and was the aim tbh wanted something that wasn’t going to be over difficult for him to handle. The saw wasn’t as light as I expected, but .. does a really good job for what it is, a few nice features like the return to run switch, and better anti vibration are nice features, My son is really pleased with it and has used it a lot for limbing/logging up stuff, he also used it to fell an old almond tree with a trunk of about 10-11 inches , the saw handled this fine and did the job. What we have done is fit some steel felling dogs/bump spikes to the saw. Overall it’s a great little saw, and fantastic value, not expensive, not overwhelming easy to use, and comfortable for an entry level saw or for starting out, perfect home saw.
