We had an absolutely gorgeous week staying at Jay Bee. The cottage is hidden away with views over the river from the patio garden where we spotted many birds and even a red squirrel. The rooms were well decorated and extremely comfortable, with 2 bedrooms both with double beds, a well-equipped kitchen and a very pleasant living room to relax in after a day of exploring. Farfield Mill has lots of crafts on display and a cafe. There is a lovely 1 and a bit mile river walk into Sedbergh which we did most nights to visit The Red Lion pub with our labrador. Sedbergh is an ideal base for visiting the Yorkshire Dales and we managed to tick 5 waterfall swims off the list during our week along with Ribblehead Viaduct, Hawes Creamery and the red squirrel sanctuary at Snaizelholme. Red squirrels were seen and photographed. The road up to Tan Hill the highest pub in the UK is a beautiful drive as are the roads down to Ingleton via Dent and Buttertubs towards Mucker. Many walks are available from the cottage, we just ran out of time! We would definitely stay here again.
