Used this to replace the "dumb" control unit on the drum filter on my pond. Wanted something I could add into my home assistant server and have more flexibility with the cleaning cycle. Plus wanted to be able to get alerts if there are any problems. Added additional float switches so that I can also monitor the pond and drain sump water levels and be remotely alerted if there are any problems. Was a great little project and my first ESP32 coding (hadn't written any code for +30 years !! Have now ordered a second one (with POE this time) so that I can build a smart house alarm
