Incredible machine, having a Pi really gets the creative juices going so the 400 coming in such a sleek package is really plug and play. I recommend beginners like myself sticking with hdmi connections for screen options to start off as I’m meeting some hurdles with gpio, got the waveshare 3.2” lcd hat and it worked for a couple days but now it’s not and it’s a hassle to keep flashing a new OS image. DO NOT FLASH OVER THE 400’s OS!! It seems to be a really good midway between the latest and the previous OS release that supports gpio hat better. Get yourself a STACK of good SD’s for different OS’s so you don’t potentially wipe good progress on one. The 400 and I guess Pi in general have really re-marketed the “Personal Computer” as the sense of ownership is greater than what I’ve ever experienced before. This kit paired with Bluetooth mouse and speaker is really satisfying but expect Lofi sound quality. I have my eyes on the 7” hdmi lcd for my “cyberdeck” because honestly listening to YouTube and the radio with a wee screen plugged in the top of this was like a strangely phenomenal feeling.
