My experience setting up the software and measuring my room was pretty smooth, however it took me a while to figure out that I had direct monitoring on on my audio interface (only configurable in software and not on my interface, the Universal Audio Apollo Twin MKII) which interfered with the setup. I read the note in the setup screen about this, but didn't fully understand it until I had issues with feedback while doing the initial tests with the measurement microphone. I would recommend that the software be able to detect this feedback and provide more information on how to disable direct monitoring. Once I got past this after Googling, everything worked great. I actually did an IG live of the entire setup process and posted an edited version on YouTube and my Instagram and my audience found it helpful and interesting. One of my music artist friends reached out after seeing my content and I believe ended up purchasing SoundID Reference + microphone as a result.
