I’ve been a long-time Back on Track customer and have always been extremely impressed with their horse products, especially the mesh blankets. I’ve personally seen the benefits on sore, older horses—reduced recovery time and improved warmth in the haunches before endurance rides. Because of that, I expected the same level of quality for my dog. Unfortunately, the Air Mesh Dog Coat has been a major disappointment. Despite carefully measuring and ordering according to the size chart, the back of the coat does not reach the stifle area and frequently flips up with minimal movement, leaving the areas I wanted covered most unsupported. Even more concerning, the fabric developed two large holes within just one week of use. My dog only wears it indoors during the day and briefly outside for potty breaks—never for outdoor play or brush exposure—yet it’s already torn. For a product at this price point, this feels extremely flimsy. To add to the frustration, shipping took quite a long time. Considering how much I’ve loved and trusted every Back on Track product I’ve purchased for my horses, I’m highly disappointed in the quality and durability of this dog coat.
