Our French bull dog weighs 32 lbs and large carrier is ok but maybe a little too large for him being short legged. He can’t jump over the side arms so we have to push down the arm to allow him to get into the carrier. Also the large size takes up quite a bit of room in backseat which gives him little room to jump from the seat well onto the car seat then into the carrier. But quality of the carrier is very good. Almost need a middle size with lower arms to allow short legged dogs to get into it easier.
