We stayed for a week at the Wreay Lodge as a group of 3 couples. It was great to have a house where all bedrooms had at least king size (very comfy) beds and having 3 bathrooms was a bonus too. The house is in a great location with views of Ullswater from both the living room and dining room as well as the garden. The master suite also has view over the water. We spent quite a lot of time just sitting enjoying the view! The kitchen is well equiped and made things very easy when eating in. There is a washer and dryer in the utility area if needed. The garden has a patio area with a table and chairs for sunny days with a small BBQ. Location wise, the house is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest pub. Many walks can be done from the house or a short drive gets you to various starting points for other walks. There is also a bus stop at the end of the road (timetable varies during the year). Overall, the house has been decorated and equiped incredibly well and we would return as we had a great stay.
