The oak is beautiful, so heavy and well made. The assembly was easy and a delight to put together. Two people helped but it can be done with one person. I had a heavy metal frame before this and it was a hassle to dispose of. I love this bed so much, it’s weighted with the mattress and can be moved if needed. And one day, if I ever need to take this apart, it will be easy and simple. I oiled it with pure tung oil with pine solvent mix. The raw oak drank up the oil beautifully. Took about 10 days to dry to touch for assembly. The color is stunning. It takes a bit to get used to walking around the legs but my proprioception caught up in a week. Shipping takes a bit because it’s well made and it’s totally worth it. Customer service is very responsive via text.
