I retro-fitted a broken Amazon Echo Dot with a Pi Zero and a Pimoroni Amp Shim - it now streams my music and internet radio using PiCorePlayer software. The Pimoroni Amp Shim works well but it really does need to be soldered as the interference fit isn't reliable. I've had several of these shims and all have needed soldering - it's not a problem but it is an issue you need to be aware of. Otherwise, it's great.
