I have a Springfield Armory 9mm with an LPA dovetail cut. I checked into getting it milled for an optic plate but there isn't enough metal left to do that. That stepped down area in the very back of the slide needs to be there. So that leaves me with using a plate that fits into the existing cut if I want an optic. I ordered this EGW plate to mount a Swampfox Justice 2 optic. It took about 10 minutes to remove the factory sight and tap the EGW mount in. I used the plastic end of a gunsmithing hammer since a brass or metal punch will leave marks. It fit in perfectly. Nice and tight. It's not going anywhere, especially with the set screw. The Swampfox fit very tightly onto the mount. That isn't going anywhere either. Since the LPA cut is already 0.2" deeper than a 'regular' dovetail cut already, this setup sits nicely into the slide and almost looks like it was milled in. It looks great.
