My first time doing the 21 day cleanse was in 2013 and I believe it was around the first time the cleanse was even offered! It was the first time I was introduced to green smoothies and sweet dandy tea. It was from this point on I was able to ditch coffee (and mostly all caffeine) and incorporate green smoothies into my regular diet. It was very hard on me the first week as I really didn’t do a great job cleaning out my cupboards or paying attention to how intense the detox symptoms would be. I actually only got through 14 days but honestly looking back it was a game changer for me. I’ve done the 21 day a couple times since each time getting a little closer to the finish line. I continue to incorporate the snacks (hello chia seed pudding and warrior bars!) and meals into my weekly rotation. Now that my son is off to college it feels like completing the 21 day will be more doable for me this time around. I look forward to trying again once I‘m more settled from an upcoming move!
