The blade is super light and balanced with handle on hand.
It is glided through the onions out of the box without sharpening!! I bought another Hatsukokoro yanagiba which is amazingly well balanced with nice handle on hand easy to get a good grip, they kindly contacted the supplier for me to find the matching saya for my Yanagiba since the starting point of spine is thicker. I recieved the saya last week it was well made in very good quality.
