The R3 elite bundle is definitely worth it and those quick connects are the cream of the crop. The water is so clean and you can tell the softener is doing its job, no smell and great taste. It’s a great product! I know the water here in VA is hard with high mineral content so the softener is absolutely worth it all while preventing scale buildup in our plumbing, water heater, fixtures, and even our shower walls. For us, we prefer having the softener as an extra layer of protection. It keeps the RV plumbing healthier long term and makes a noticeable difference in shower feel and soap lather. To me, it's a smart investment!
