This was not at all what I had imagined! I thought it would be like coffee and walnut cake, or a coffee and walnut flavoured brownie, but instead it was the consistency of a pudding, really needed to be eaten with a spoon, made a real mess of my fingers! Yes, it was square, but didn't taste remotely of coffee or walnuts, the overwhelming flavour was of dried figs or dates.
I need to acknowledge to myself that I do not like vegan desserts!!
