So far so good. Whilst only 9w, my Cheato is growing at the same rate as it was under a 50w "grow" light. I think this is partially because I can get the light much closer to the cheato due to the lamp being fully submersible.
I also get a lot less light spill with it being so close to the surface of the water.
Nice simple thin wired connection and set up on a timer to give 12 hours light in a reverse cycle to the main lights.
