Until the Gotway MSP, you had to choose when selecting among top-end wheels: smooth, powerful acceleration and access to almost unlimited braking power, or the comfort and stability of an 18" wheel. For the first time you can have both, and as a result it is my opinion that the Gotway MSP makes half of the current top-end offerings obsolete FOR THE SAME PRICE. A very small portion of the wheel riding population will critize it for being "too slow," but with 80% beeps starting at 38mph when the battery is full and dropping only to 31mph when very close to empty, this wheel can mix it up in traffic on a vast majority of roads. If that's not enough for you, the "high speed" version is available but you're going to compromise on the incredibly buttery acceleration and braking of the 2500W version with something that feels more "gritty" when taxed. At 155lbs when kitted up, I can get 60+ miles to a charge if I ride conservatively (under 25mph) and about half that if I maintain mid 30's speeds the whole time. If there's a negative to the wheel, I'd say it's the cooling fan, which is unnoticeable when riding but a little awkward when wheeling it into an elevator or through the store. It can be replaced with a higher quality, quieter fan if you know what to look for, though. All in all, this wheel makes anything not 100volts feel like a toy, and is IMO the only one without serious compromises.
