I had asked the guys at Ashland if they could make a custom Johnny the Fox for me. They were more than happy to do so. I requested a Johnny the Fox in navy shell cordovan exterior with natural shell reverse interior. When the wallet arrived it almost looked fake. Shell cordovan is so shiny and when it’s new it really appears still and rigid. I opened the box and the smell of 100% shell immediately overtook me. It looked so nice I was almost afraid to use it. But now as the weeks have passed the wallet is breaking in nicely. The navy shell which at first almost looked black now shines brightly navy and in the sun even more. The natural reverse interior also has started to develop a shine to it. I have received at least a dozen compliments on it when I take it out to pay at a store. In fact one gentleman asked me for the details of where I got it and will be ordering from Ashland soon. Thanks for making a quality American product. Keep up the good work. My next Johnny needs to be in raw shell as I am a sucker for good patina.
