I used the Roma waterproof aluminum extrusion on a project for a client looking to add an attractive linear fixture to illuminate his 2-car garage door. The light is mounted to the trim. We chose the Roma channel for its waterproof rating and also because it offered a diffusor in the "smoke" color, which allows the fixture to blend into the mounting surface when off. The Roma channel is made from a thick aluminum gauge and doesn't flex or bend when installed (this is not something I've seen with other low-cost brands available on Amazon or from a number of other vendors). Also, the end caps and lens fit tightly and exude a high-quality feel indicating a great deal of care was taken in the design phase. Again, this is not what you run into when using lower-cost extrusions. My hat is off to the maker of this product. I've used the Roma a number of times on other projects and remain impressed with the build quality. It makes my commercial projects stand out, and I know I will not have to revisit them later for maintenance, which saves me labor.
