Used these to replace analogue digital cameras on two microscope used in a museum. The image quality is excellent, and the resolution allows us to use low cost widescreen monitors for the display, even though we lose some pixels in the process. Quick tip - to fill the monitor screen, try this:

picam2.start_preview(Preview.DRM, width=picam2._preview.crtc.mode.hdisplay, height=picam2._preview.crtc.mode.vdisplay)
