Despite the only review at the time being negative for this cake, I decided to try out the lovely sounding flavour due to the company’s otherwise shining reputation and I’m so glad I did! The two flavours of icing complimented each other perfectly and the sponge itself, despite being served 24+ hours after delivery (refrigerated & then brought to room temp) was light and fluffy! It was beautiful too, the edible flowers decorating them even added to the taste haha (the lavender) My only qualm would be that the tin our cake arrived in was slightly dented and had several grubby marks. I luckily was the one to open the box and could clean it up, but if the recipient had been the one to open the box it would have been a bit disappointing. Additionally, the tin will not seal shut due to the dents, their tins may typically do so when undamaged, but we were disappointed since it’s such a beautiful tin that we would have loved to use more. My last note would be that this size (6”) though said to serve 4-5 would definitely serve at least 8 reasonable slices! 4-5 would be very generous and I worried slightly beforehand that it may not be enough but there was more than enough for four of us with half the cake! Overall, I highly recommend!
