Some time ago I was at friend's home studio, an attic with sloping ceilings. His monitors sounded remarkably good despite challenging acoustic conditions. I noticed the SoundID plugin and, upon his recommendation, discovered it to be the best money spent on software. I borrowed an Audix TM1 testing mic and downloaded the SoundID trial – the results were impressive, prompting me to purchase it on a Black Friday deal. I even received my own Sonarworks Microphone from Santa 🧑‍🎄. A tip for drum mixing: disable the plugin or use zero-latency mode to avoid artifacts. I highly recommend it to everyone; you can even check the trial to hear the results. I made a couple of measurements, as the first time I did it the wrong way, but the results were excellent nonetheless.
