I have used Powerblock in my home gym since the mid 90’s so I attest that these will last a lifetime. I bought 80 lbs of plates and pins to go with the Ez Curl and Straight bars my wife bought for me for my 50th. If you’re looking for adjustable dumbbells and accessories that will last, buy an heirloom, buy Powerblock.
