I decided to bite the bullet and by a good quality bike carrier for our 2 e-bikes and after looking at several this was what I needed, 1 it slides into the tow hitch not on the ball, it’s extremely easy to put in and tighten up and it also can be locked as well to to tow hitch, I must say I’ve never came across this slide in for the hitch before. Slide it in and then turn the rear fitting up tight and then lock if you want, The bikes holder is very easy to use as well just lift bikes on and push the front wheel lock down and put the strap across the back wheel and your ready to go you can also lock the bikes as well with a cable that’s slides out. I made my own light bar bracket for it just to put an exhilarate numberplate holder on it To keep the police happy lol.
