After searching high and low, including Amazon and the almighty RS Components, this was the only self-powered combination ammeter/voltmeter I could find that would fit the enclosure for a 12v voltage regulator, in the attached photo. Tested its voltage measurement against a Hantek meter, and it's spot on. As an added bonus the unit includes a temperature probe, so I can monitor the regulator's heatsink, and it displays other handy metrics eg total power consumed.
