If you’re looking purely at function, you can pick up plenty of pouches that hold your cables and tech stuff for half (ro even less) the price of the Evergoods CAP2. They’ll do the job. But this thing doesn’t just do the job. It does it with the same quiet confidence as a Range Rover rolling past a Suzuki Jimny. And I love a Jimny. But the CAP2 is playing in a different class.
What wins you over isn’t a single feature, it’s the way all the small design decisions add up. The materials feel tough, the build quality is dead tidy, and then there’s the 45-degree fold-out top flap/lid/pocket. It sounds minor until you use it. Suddenly your compact little box becomes a neat, angled display of everything inside.
I use the small zipped pocket in the lid as a pencil case for my markers and technical pens, and the main section handles my cables, Apple mouse, chargers and power bank. Everything has a spot, everything stays put.
It’s a premium bit of kit that makes me smile every time I use it. Is it more expensive than it probably needs to be? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes.
