The step is very high quality and is extremely solid. A little heavier than expected, but I don't mind because it is such a quality piece of equipment. Large and sturdy enough to perform all the moves of an advanced step class, and also to lie on as a bench for sit-ups and other exercises. I was initially worried that this wouldn't be as good quality as the more well known ones you find in step studios, but this more than met my expectations and I would not hesitate to purchase one again. Creaks a little but I can live with that.
