This pull-up bar worked great for mounting to the ceiling in my basement gym. I was looking for a lower profile, fixed bar that would work with my ~8 ft ceiling. This works perfect in my limited space. Efficient design with the box tubing and a nice heavy bar that feels solid while doing pull ups and hangs. The instructions are vague, but I drilled some additional holes in the support arms to align with my joists (holes are not 16" on center), but the included lags were solid for the connections.
