The kit is a bit expensive for what it is but it's good both for learning how to solder and exploring the curious hidden world of magnetic fields. I've been surprised by how interesting it is to use. The kit is thoughtfully designed to make it easy to assemble. I have one broken inductor and Pimoroni have been unable to tell me exactly what it is and have not offered to replace the inductor. I know this is a difficult area as in the general case it's likely the customer has cooked it during the soldering process but a) I am a regular customer and b) I write free articles including many which demonstrate my skill level and feature Pimoroni products and as a side-effect promote their products. I would hope for a bit more support here.
