This optic mounting plate worked as advertised. It had fitment issues which required minor filing of the plate in two spots, lubrication, a vise, blocks of wood and a hammer. A gun smith could have done the job a little easier but I enjoy tinkering. The finished product is beautiful, works perfectly and is my new/old favorite gun again. There is no movement and the lower profile of thie Kimber's sight system made this gun a perfect candidate for this type of plate with out a height over bore issue and without looking like a small boat with a big sail.
