Initially was looking to purchase the XF version for a newly acquired X-T1, but that line of lenses is quite expensive as you pay for better build quality, weather sealing etc. So considered this cheaper version with a plastic build but a nice lightweight, ideal for travel photography. Ok, it does not have the other features of the more expensive XF version but apparently, they share the same or very similar optical quality. So for me, this was a more than acceptable compromise and saving of cash.
