Villa Aurea was a recommendation, and it was a pleasure to stay. We were a small group of six people and were looking for a lovely place to spend time together. That is exactly what we got. Villa Aurea is about 40-50 minutes by car from Split Airport. It is tucked away from the main road with a stunning view over the water. It is a brand new building and clearly designed for an upmarket, luxury stay: spacious rooms, main and yoga terrace, fireplace, pool, fitness, sauna, steam room, whirlpool,..., you get the idea. A few steps take you to the private beach. Did I mention the stunning view? Since we stayed in autumn, we got everything in terms of weather from sunbathing by the pool and beach, to sitting by the fireplace, cooking and sauna, while it was raining. The whole place is very carefully designed and is a great place to stay and unwind. So, I am passing on the recommendation and look forward to coming back! :)
