This is going to be a two-part review. First thing’s first, the serum is out of this world! I have a makeup and skincare collection that’s likely comparable to artists and influencers, except I actually paid for everything. And for that reason, I’m able to give a completely unbiased and honest review. The serum is quite possibly one of the best serums I’ve ever used. I love the consistency, the light pleasant smell, and how fast it absorbs without leaving the skin oily. I actually purchased a second sample set and used the serum to add to my D’Albra spray serum that I absolutely adore. Adding this serum took it to a whole new level! The serum is wonderful for combination skin; it hydrated the dry areas and didn’t make the oily areas greasy. It absorbed fully into the skin and as long as you allow reasonable absorption time between each skincare step, makeup applies beautifully over this product. I also enjoyed the moisturizer and wash. I doubt they’d ever replace my daily/nightly Tatcha face wash and moisturizer, though. They’re still great, nonetheless. Now to the second part. I definitely found the website images for the sample package to be very misleading. For anyone that uses them as most people do with skincare, morning and night, it’s not a 7 day supply. They show a variety of images leading the buyer into thinking they’re getting something they aren’t, and there’s an option to select your skin-type, although the sample set is the same 4 items. I’d argue that it’s a sample and not a trial size. Next, while I did opt to purchase the full-sized serum, I don’t think the size is in line with the price. I’ve received a lot of samples and trials that are 1oz (30ml) which is the size of the full-sized anti-aging serum here. So I’d say the pros and cons will boil down to budget for most people. But I do think they should be fully aware that the samples they will receive is the image that has four small tubes that all look the same. If you get them for $10 when they’re running a discount, that’s a fair price point. All-in-all, I’d recommend the serum if you have $60-70 a month to spare for it. I do think it’s worth it, but I do think it should be a 2-3oz bottle. It will last me longer because I plan to continue adding it to my spray serum thus increasing the longevity of both. It’s about $110 for both, but it turns into over 5oz and a super convenient spray. I reckon it should last me 2-3 months as I spray it generously and several times a day.
