I've been looking for an upgrade from my usual trusty Flexispot entry level standing desk for years (goes for around $220). Despite being an amazing value for money, the desk was wobbly when stood up with my 32 inch monitor, laptop and a full sized PC box atop and the table top felt a bit cheap with the crushed wood composite.
The next meaningful upgrade on the table top and sturdiness seemed to require a massive jump to roughly £800+ based on common online recommendations like offerings from Uplift, Deskhaus, etc, which seemed excessive for what seemed like a minor quality upgrade from an entry-level standing desk (practically the same features, but with better build).
I was lucky enough to stumble across Desktronic; one of the few European manufacturers that offered competitive pricing for a premium standing desk. For my HomePro, the table top is a solid walnut panel that feels incredibly polished in its edges and surface texture. The dual legs have 3 shafts (as opposed to usual 2 at this price point) for increased stability. I usually have an eye for pedantic detail and I struggled to find a single aesthetic or functional flaw even at the tiniest visual level. My only gripe is that the motors are a bit noisier than those of Flexispot. Still, all of this for £374 felt like a steal!
The website, with its 3D visualizations for customizations of color and accessories made it really easy for me to refine my pick and shipping/delivery felt rather smooth via shop.
