Turkish Falafel is a tasty meal that can be prepared with cold or warm water. Depending on how much water you add, you get either a puree like consistency or a meal soup, in both cases with lots of vegetables, seeds, some pieces of falafel etc. I am not a diabetic myself but diabetes runs in my family so I am mindful of what I eat and I decided to test my blood sugar level an hour and a half after the meal (when blood sugar can peak) and tested it again four hours after the meal. Guess what: no peak, nothing, but nicely stable blood sugar levels all along, which makes this meal a stable, healthy energy source for hours in a row. It also proves that this meal is perfectly balanced with long carbs and the exact right amount of protein, carbs and fats. I was pleasantly surprised by how healthy these meals are - they certainly make good on their health claims - and will definitely buy this again for convient use at home a couple of times a week. I find the 400kcal pouches to be more than sufficient for one person, but that will depend on personal preference and activity level. If you prefer to add more water and get a meal soup, like in the picture I attach, one pounch suffices for two bowls of meal soup. You won't get hungry again for hours.
