Fitted a pair of these to oak gateposts and found them to be of excellent quality. The LED lamp installation is a simple push fit. A silicone rubber sealing ring between the faceplate and base prevents the ingress of rainwater. Further waterproofing is easily achieved by bedding the base on a layer of silicone sealant. They cast a very elegant fan of light and really add to the look of our driveway and gates. We’ve had them for almost 6 months now without any problems, a quick wipe over once a month keeps them looking like new. They also work with a Philips Hue Smartplug if you wish program automatic operation. Definitely worth purchasing.
